* Oct. 20: Hayride and Hot Dog Roast – Sign up beforehand. Meet at the parking lot in front of the stables at Greensfelder County Park at 4:30 pm sharp (if you are late, the wagons will leave without you). We will have a 45 min. hayride followed by an hour bonfire at the park where we will roast club-provided hot dogs and marshmallows. Food, drink and smoking are not allowed on the wagons. NOTE: Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in county parks so be discrete or bring something else. To reach Greensfelder, take I-44 west to the Pacific-Allenton exit (Six Flags). Turn north on Allenton Road and proceed 2 miles north to the park entrance. Follow the signs to the stable area.

* Oct. 28: St. John’s Gildenhaus sausage dinner. Take the scenic route to the church; leave early to beat the crowd. Meet at the Amoco on Long Rd. (see above) at 9:00/leave 9:30. Ride leader needed.

* Nov. 4: Wurstmart and Meat Shoot at St. Patrick’s in Ruma (site of the Chicken & Strawberry Festival). Meet at the Dierbergs grocery (see above) at 9:00/leave 9:30 (NOTE – The GS group will leave at 9:15) – We may split into two groups with the GS group taking the lesser traveled “levee” roads (with gravel in varying amounts). The road group can take the Bluff Road. Mary and Jeff Ackerman, 314-838-2161.

* Nov. 11: Ride to Giant City Park in southern Illinois for a great chicken dinner. Meet at Dierbergs (see above) at 8:30/leave 9:00. Bill Haugen, 314-831-7363.
