Wanted: "First Bike" Stories!

What was your first bike: year/make/model, did it hook you on motorcycling?

Include name, MOA #, headline, word document of approximately 1,000 words sent via email (maryb@bmwmoa.org or ronalddavis@tds.net) or mailed on a CD (BMW MOA, PO Box 3982, Ballwin, MO 63022, attention: Mary Baker), picture of first bike (if possible high resolution 500kb but if not at least 200kb).
Don’t attempt to write about how many other bikes you’ve had or the history of your motorcycling. Just focus on the experience in relationship to your “first bike.”
 Choose a tense to tell the story and give your story an edit before sending. If you have spell/grammar check on your software, run it. Have someone else read your story to make sure it flows well. Don't over format, keep it simple.
